The Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz possesses a selection of bequests made by prominent German and Italian art scholars who either held posts at the Institute, or who were connected to it in a specific manner. These bequests contain archived notes, transcripts, manuscripts and typescripts, indices, literary notes, illustrations, etc., and have, in the majority of cases, been informally classified. These are placed at the disposal of all interested scholars. Library users thus have access to the bequests on request during the Institute's opening hours. The following overview serves merely for purposes of orientation.
