OPAC - kubikat
The library's online catalogue (kubikat) includes the collective cataloguing systems of Florence (Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max-Planck-Institut), Munich (Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte ) and Rome (Bibliotheca Hertziana, Max-Planck-Institut für Kunstgeschichte ). It covers the complete library holdings of the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max-Planck-Institut and facilitates both title searches and, for acquisitions since 1996, subject searches for monographs, essays, reviews and, more recently, electronic publications.
The kubikat-OPAC also lists the titles of all printed and electronic periodicals and journals available in the library, in addition to several thousand auction catalogues. In 2011, the Deutsches Forum für Kunstgeschichte in Paris became a member of the collective cataloguing system and simultaneously, the kubikat was integrated into the Bibliotheksverbund Bayern . Therefore kubikat holdings can also be found by means of the Gateway Bayern and the Karlsruher Virtuellen Katalog .

At present, kubikat holds well over 1.5 million bibliographic titles, 800,000 of which are articles from journals, congress publications, commemorative publications or exhibition catalogues, and articles from online periodicals, etc. (see the index of catalogued e-journals and the list of current journals , from which articles are catalogued and indexed by subject in kubikat.

artlibraries.net
artlibraries.net (Virtual Catalogue for Art History) is an initiative formerly supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) in collaboration with the University Library of Karlsruhe, and includes specialized art libraries participating in the national library services system. The aim of this catalogue is to offer centralized, comprehensive access to the most important and relevant international online art library catalogues. At present, artlibraries.net unifies forty participating systems from ten countries, and lists approximately twelve million bibliographic titles, including numerous articles from periodicals and anthologies.

Index Card Catalogue
A catalogue of journal articles (1945-1996) arranged by author and a classified subject catalogue based on these titles are available in form of a physical card index. All titles have been integrated electronically into kubikat.
